Located on the scenic underbelly of the planet Zebes, Norfair is a wonderful destination for tourists and space pirates alike. Enjoy the beautiful views of deadly volcanoes! Bathe in the scorching-hot lava spewing out of deadly volcanoes! And kids can play "the floor is lava" while you relax, except in this version of the game, THE FLOOR IS ACTUALLY LAVA. But don't worry, Norfair is completely safe*. Really, it is (it's not).

It should be no surprise, then, that Norfair features a lot of lava. Not only can it rise up to the top, engulfing lower platforms and its inhabitants in fiery pain, but it can also pour out from the sides. And when you start to see a lava tsunami forming in the background, run to the safe area that pops out - otherwise, you'll leave looking like a piece of burnt toast.

*Note - Varia Suit recommended to withstand completely safe levels of heat from deadly volcanoes
