The Master Ball is the most powerful Pokéball as it is capable of capturing any Pokémon without fail. It is often reserved for catching the mightiest and most rare Pokémon.
The Master Ball functions identically to the Pokéball item, being able to be picked up and thrown. However, the Master Ball will always open to reveal a Legendary Pokémon. On rare and unfortunate occasions, however, the Master Ball will open to release a Goldeen. Seriously, what the heck? What’s Goldeen doing in a Master Ball…?
