This infamous enemy from the Mario series made its first appearance in the original Super Mario Bros. Hammer Bros. throw their heavy hammers in arcs, sometimes while jumping in order to throw them higher.
Their hammers cannot hit you if you get up close to them. However, unlike in Smash Run or the Mario series, they are invulnerable to attacks.
