- Super Mario Bros -This stage takes place on starting planet in the Gateway Galaxy. In the original Super Mario Galaxy game, this is where Mario arrives after being blasted away from the Mushroom Kingdom. Here he played hide-and-seek with Star Bunnies before finding a Luma and meeting Rosalina for the first time.
At first glance nothing seems to be too special about this stage, but with a closer look you’ll notice that gravity emanates from the center of the planet. Fighters and projectiles alike will follow along the curve of the planet during the match. This is the first stage in the Smash Bros. series to have this unique graviational mechanic. Check out the airships, Starship Mario, and the Starshroom flying in the background!
