Before the NES or even the Game & Watch, Nintendo released their first line of dedicated consoles in Japan called the Color TV-Game in 1977. This particular iteration of the console featured 15 different versions of “Light Tennis,” also known as Pong.
When summoned, 2 Pong paddles and a Pong ball appear across the screen, and anyone hit by the ball or paddles will receive damage and significant knockback.
